How to split a big job across several AI helpers working at the same time, and how to tell when splitting saves time and when it just costs more.
Most people use AI like a queue: one job, wait, the next job. Fan-out means one AI splits a big job into pieces, several work on the pieces at the same time, and the results come back together.
It splits when:
It does not split when step two needs step one's answer, or when the whole job takes a minute anyway.
Simple test: could you hand the pieces to four different people who never talk to each other? Then it splits.
Running several helpers at once uses more of your AI allowance. It saves your time, not your tokens. Use it when your time is the scarce thing.

This pack, "The Fan-out Playbook", was written by Aishah Shah (AI systems, automation and team training for business owners). It's free to use.
Send the task that eats most of your week, or ask how visible you are to AI. You'll be told honestly what is worth doing first — and what isn't.
AI is a tool. Your judgement is still the business. Western Sydney, and Australia-wide where the work can be done online.
